This collectible figure is part of Luke Chueh's "Everyone Needs a Lot of Head" series, produced by Clutter. The Sleepin' Bear edition stands approximately 228mm tall and was released through Clutter Gallery's NYCC booth. The Sleepin' Bear design went through multiple iterations during development. Artist Luke Chueh initially explored concepts involving greenery and colorful gems, then developed the idea that a bear is always hibernating in his mind. The concept evolved into a sleeping bear whose head contains a miniature scene of camping bears resting under a blanket of night sky, as if they existed on a little planet of their own. Chueh ultimately dropped the external greenery entirely, focusing the composition on the internal world within the bear's head. The figure was priced at $60 upon release. The "Everyone Needs a Lot of Head" series reflects Chueh's signature style of combining cute aesthetics with contemplative, sometimes darker themes, exploring the concept of characters whose heads contain entire miniature worlds.
