This figure set is part of the Hobonichi MOTHER Project, produced by Hobonichi and featuring Dosei-san from the beloved RPG Mother 2: Gyiyg no Gyakushuu, known internationally as EarthBound. The GOLDBOX Series includes five figures representing iconic characters from the game. Mother 2 was designed by Shigesato Itoi and follows a young boy named Ness as he gathers friends to defeat the cosmic threat of Gyiyg. Dosei-san, or Mr. Saturn, is a peculiar species of small, bow-tied beings who reside in Saturn Valley and assist Ness and his party with their unique technology and wisdom. The Hobonichi MOTHER Project has celebrated the series through various events, including The Secret of MOTHER 2 exhibition held in the summer of 2024. The set stands approximately 60mm tall and is crafted from ABS and PVC materials, capturing the whimsical charm of the Mr. Saturn characters in collectible form.
