Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica - Kyuubey - 1/1 (Good Smile Company)Kyuubey · 1/1 · Good Smile Company

Good Smile Company presents Kyuubey from Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica as a 1/1 scale figure, standing approximately 230mm tall. Sculpted by Orita Wataru in soft vinyl, this figure retailed at 9,524 JPY, offering a life-sized representation of the iconic creature. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica is a dark deconstruction of the magical girl genre, following middle school girls who are offered a single wish by the mysterious Kyuubey in exchange for becoming magical girls tasked with fighting witches. Kyuubey, officially known as the Incubator, appears as an adorable cat-like creature with long ears and an ever-present smile, but beneath this cute exterior lies a coldly logical being that grants wishes while concealing the true cost. Magical girls eventually fall into despair and transform into the very witches they hunt, their emotional energy harvested by Kyuubey's kind to delay the entropy of the universe. Kyuubey's emotionless nature and manipulative tactics make it one of the most memorable antagonists in anime, serving as the catalyst for the series' tragic events. The 1/1 scale soft vinyl construction gives this figure an appropriately tangible and unsettling presence.
