About this figure

Centauria presents Morisawa Yuu from the classic magical girl anime Magical Angel Creamy Mami in this 120mm figure. The series originally aired from July 1983 to June 1984 on Nippon Television, making it a foundational title in the magical girl genre that helped establish many tropes still seen today. Yuu Morisawa is an ordinary ten-year-old girl whose life changes when she encounters a spaceship and helps a friendly alien named Pino Pino find the Feather Star. In gratitude, he grants her a magic wand for one year that allows her to transform into a sixteen-year-old girl with magical abilities. While exploring the city in her teenage form, she accidentally ends up on television and is asked to sing, discovering that her magic gives her remarkable vocal talent. Using the alias Creamy Mami, she becomes an overnight idol sensation signed to Parthenon Productions, all while navigating a double life filled with rabid fans, jealous rivals like Megumi Ayase, and the occasional supernatural creature. Two cat-like aliens named Posi and Nega are assigned to watch over her during this transformative year. The figure captures Yuu in her youthful charm, representing a character whose story pioneered the idol-magical girl crossover concept that influenced generations of anime to follow.
