Banpresto presents Inspector Koichi Zenigata from Lupin III as part of their PansonWorks line, standing approximately 165mm tall. Inspector Zenigata was conceived as the arch-rival of master thief Lupin III, described by creator Monkey Punch as a "human Tom and Jerry" dynamic. Zenigata has made it his life's singular goal to capture Lupin III, and the two share one of anime's most enduring cat-and-mouse relationships. The character is based on the famous Japanese crime-fighter Heiji Zenigata, known for throwing coins as weapons—Zenigata's handcuff-throwing technique serves as his own interpretation of this legacy. Originally named Heiji Zenigata VII in early franchise entries, the character was renamed Koichi Zenigata when Part 2 began airing. Zenigata's most iconic garment is his trench coat, typically accompanied by a suit and fedora. His appearance has evolved across different Lupin III series, with variations in coat color and suit style, but his signature cleft chin and determined demeanor remain consistent throughout.
