About this figure

This Ishikawa Goemon figure from Dive captures the master swordsman as he appeared in the first Lupin III television series, specifically in the Miyazawa model version. Standing approximately 270mm tall, the figure portrays Goemon in his classic early anime appearance. Goemon Ishikawa XIII is the thirteenth descendant of the legendary historical samurai and serves as a key member of Lupin's gang. Created by Monkey Punch to add a distinctly Japanese character to the manga, Goemon was originally introduced as one of Lupin's targets before eventually joining his side after numerous failed assassination attempts. In the first TV series, Goemon's debut in Episode 5 sees him tricked into confronting Lupin by Old Man Momochi, who seeks to eliminate both. After surviving and outwitting Momochi together, Goemon later joins the gang following a clash over the Zantetsuken sword formula. His typical attire consists of a traditional kimono and andon hakama, reflecting his samurai heritage. The figure stands at 270mm and is produced by Dive as part of their Lupin III collection, representing the character's earliest animated incarnation.
