As the older sister of Jinx, Vi's backstory is deeply intertwined with the lore of both Piltover and Zaun, the twin cities that form a central setting in the game's universe. A former street criminal who was taken in and rehabilitated by the Piltover Wardens, Vi fights using a pair of massive hextech gauntlets, embodying a brash, punch-first personality that contrasts sharply with her sister's chaotic unpredictability. Their fractured sibling relationship became a cornerstone of League of Legends storytelling and was further explored in the animated series Arcane.
