Aoshima presents the Angel's Coming version figure of Hikaru with Suzuhara Misaki from Kidou Tenshi Angelic Layer, the anime adaptation of CLAMP's manga series produced by Studio Bones. Angelic Layer follows Misaki Suzuhara, a seventh grader who moves to Tokyo and discovers the popular fighting game where players called Deus custom-design dolls known as Angels that move by mental control on a field called the Layer. Misaki names her angel Hikaru after Hikaru Shido from CLAMP's Magic Knight Rayearth, wanting her angel to be a short girl who is strong and happy. The series was CLAMP's first attempt at shonen manga and takes place in the same universe as their later work Chobits. The anime aired on TV Tokyo from April to September 2001, spanning 26 episodes. This Angel's Coming version figure from Aoshima depicts Hikaru alongside her Deus, Misaki, capturing the bond between player and angel that lies at the heart of the series.
