About this figure

Bandai's Mobile Suit in Action (MSIA) line presents Garma Zabi from the original Mobile Suit Gundam series. The MSIA line was introduced in 1999 as part of the Gundam 20th anniversary Big Bang Project and ran until 2008, when it was succeeded by the Robot Damashii line. These pre-painted, non-scale action figures were made primarily of PVC and featured articulation equal to or better than most Gunpla model kits. Mobile Suit Gundam, set in the Universal Century timeline, depicts the war between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon. Garma Zabi is the youngest son of the influential Zabi family that rules Zeon and commands its military forces. As a charismatic fleet commander, Garma leads the Zeon forces in North America and becomes entangled in a rivalry with the series protagonist Amuro Ray and the White Base crew. His story arc is marked by his sense of duty, his desire to prove himself to his family, and his tragic manipulation at the hands of his friend Char Aznable, whose hidden agenda leads to Garma's downfall in one of the series' most pivotal moments. MSIA figures released in North American markets featured animation-oriented coloring and lacked the panel lines and weathering effects found on Japanese versions.
