Animegami Studios presents Kawakami Tomie from Junji Ito Collection as a premium 1/6 scale resin statue in the Manga Edition. This is Animegami Studios' first release from the Junji Ito Collection series, standing approximately 335mm tall. Tomie is the iconic horror character from Junji Ito's acclaimed manga series, a mysterious and beautiful woman who drives those around her to obsession, madness, and murder. This particular figure depicts a scene where the artist Mitsuo Mori becomes obsessed with painting Tomie. While sitting for her portrait, Tomie tells Mori that every man who has ever loved her tried to kill her. Mori paints her with a hideous demonic face merged with her own, and when Tomie sneers at the painting, Mori flies into a homicidal rage and chops her into pieces. The base of the statue reflects the severed body parts, referencing Tomie's supernatural ability to regenerate and be reborn from her severed parts. The statue measures 115mm wide, 335mm tall, and 210mm deep, crafted from resin with parts in PVC and ABS. It was sculpted by Sergio Mengual and Leo Dolon Bustamonte, painted by color master Armando Aguiar, and includes a head variant showcasing Tomie's demonic face.
