Banpresto presents Taikoubou from Hakyuu Houshin Engi in a Special Color version. Taikoubou is the main protagonist of the Houshin Engi series, which was adapted into the 2018 anime Hakyuu Houshin Engi, a reimagining of the classic Chinese novel Investiture of the Gods. Taikoubou is a Doushi from Kun Lun Mountain and a disciple of Genshitenson, one of the Three Great Sennin. Despite his cheerful and friendly demeanor, he is cunning and mischievous, often seeking the easiest path to resolve conflicts without anyone getting hurt. He is tasked with the Houshin Project, a mission to seal away 365 souls that threaten the human world. Armed with his Paopei weapon, the Dashinben, and accompanied by his spiritual beast Suupuushan, Taikoubou navigates a complex war between the immortal sages of Kun Lun and the forces of Yin. His lazy exterior belies a sharp strategic mind and a deep sense of responsibility. This figure stands approximately 150mm tall and is made from ABS and PVC.
