Kami-Arts presents an exclusive 1/6 scale statue depicting the pivotal moment between Date Eiji and Makunouchi Ippo from the boxing anime and manga series Hajime no Ippo THE FIGHTING! This exclusive edition stands approximately 400mm tall and is crafted from polyurethane and resin. Date Eiji is the former JBC and OPBF featherweight champion who was once regarded as the second best featherweight boxer in the world by Ricardo Martinez. His career is marked by triumph and tragedy — after suffering a devastating second-round knockout against Martinez in Mexico, Date returned home to discover his wife Aiko had suffered a miscarriage during his absence. Consumed by guilt and with his dreams shattered, he retired from boxing. However, Aiko eventually revealed she missed the man Date was before Mexico and wanted their son to have a role model to look up to. This prompted Date's return to the Nakadai Gym. He later served as an initial antagonist during Ippo's first national championship road, even requesting a spar with the young boxer to test his abilities and prepare for upcoming fights. This detailed diorama was sculpted by a team of artists — Édouard Velay, Thiago Lima, Kampee Tupnoi, and Kryss Drawing — capturing the intensity of the boxing ring. The exclusive edition offers collectors a premium representation of one of the series' most significant rivalries.
