Elizabeth is a recurring character in Gintama, a comedic sci-fi historical anime set in an alternate Edo period where aliens have invaded Japan. Elizabeth is the pet and companion of Kotaro Katsura, a leader of the anti-government faction. Despite appearing as a simple white duck-like creature, Elizabeth's true identity remains one of the series' running mysteries, and the character often communicates through signboards.
