Giant Robo originated as a manga by Mitsuteru Yokoyama and was adapted into a live-action television series by Toei in 1967, following a boy named Daisaku Kusama who controls the giant robot using a special watch. The franchise later inspired the acclaimed OVA series "Giant Robo the Animation: The Day the Earth Stood Still," which reimagined the characters in an epic steampunk narrative. Giant Robo remains a foundational work in the mecha and tokusatsu genres, influencing generations of robot-themed media. This figure stands approximately 129mm tall and is made from MABS and PVC. It was released in July 2018 with a retail price of 6,580 yen as part of a set that also included GR2, which stood at 145mm.
