Fugaku Sanjuroku-kei, or "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji," is the celebrated ukiyo-e woodblock print series by Katsushika Hokusai. "Kanagawa-oki Nami Ura," commonly known as "The Great Wave off Kanagawa," is arguably the most famous image in the series, depicting an enormous wave threatening boats with Mount Fuji visible in the background. The Sumiiro variant refers to an ink-blue color treatment of this iconic artwork translated into three-dimensional figure form.
