Kotobukiya, in collaboration with Square Enix, released this Play Arts figure of Vaan from Final Fantasy XII. The figure represents the protagonist of the twelfth mainline Final Fantasy title in the original Play Arts format, which preceded the enhanced Play Arts Kai line. Final Fantasy XII is set in the world of Ivalice, a politically charged realm where the Archadian Empire has conquered the kingdom of Dalmasca. Vaan is a street orphan from the occupied city of Rabanastre who dreams of becoming a sky pirate. His journey intertwines with a resistance movement against the empire, bringing him into contact with allies like the sky pirate Balthier and the exiled princess Ashe. The game is noted for its MMORPG-inspired combat system and political narrative. The figure stands approximately 223mm tall and is made from PVC. It was sculpted with involvement from Yoshida Akihiko, the character designer for Final Fantasy XII, along with OOParts. Originally priced at ¥3,990 JPY, it includes the articulation and accessories characteristic of the Play Arts line.
