Kotobukiya's ARTFX Final Fantasy X 1/6 Scale Figure Collection launches with Tidus, the protagonist of the landmark RPG Final Fantasy X. Standing approximately 315mm tall and sculpted in PVC, this figure was priced at 8,500 JPY with product code 4934054010011. Final Fantasy X was released in 2000 in Japan and follows Tidus, a star blitzball player from the technologically advanced city of Zanarkand who is transported to the world of Spira after a catastrophic encounter with the colossal entity Sin. In Spira, he joins the summoner Yuna on her pilgrimage to obtain the Final Aeon and defeat Sin, uncovering deep truths about the cycle of destruction that plagues the world. The figure collection also included Yuna, Auron, Rikku, Lulu, and Kimahri, with the Tidus figure featuring limited articulation in the arms. The figure was sculpted by Nomura Tetsuya, the character designer for Final Fantasy X, and was released as part of a soft vinyl figure line with both Japanese and US versions available.
