About this figure
Infinity Studio presents an SSR figure of Ayanami Rei (Tentative Name) alongside EVA Mark.09 from Evangelion Shin Gekijouban: Q, also known as Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo. This figure stands approximately 180mm tall and captures one of the most distinctive Evangelion units from the Rebuild of Evangelion film series. The Evangelion Mark.09 was introduced in Evangelion 3.0 and is piloted by a Rei Ayanami designated as "Tentative Name." NERV sent the Mark.09 to attack the AAA Wunder in order to recover Shinji Ikari from WILLE. The unit bears similarities to Evangelion Unit-00 from the original series but features notable differences including more white highlights, a prominent central eye, and a lack of arm pieces. During its first mission, the Mark.09 is decapitated and is mostly seen in this headless form, wielding a giant scythe that gives it the appearance of a Dullahan from Irish mythology. The unit is designed to wield a bizarre jet booster for high-speed flight and demonstrates remarkable resilience, able to continue functioning even after sustaining significant damage. This figure from Infinity Studio brings the eerie and distinctive design of the Mark.09 together with its Rei pilot in a detailed collectible presentation.
