Bandai's S.H.Figuarts release combines two elements from Dragon Ball Z: the Saibamen and Yamcha. The Saibamen are low-level biological warriors grown from seeds, used by the Saiyans as combatants during the early Saiyan Saga. These green creatures are most infamously remembered for their self-destruct attack that killed Yamcha during the battle against Nappa and Vegeta. Yamcha is a longtime Z Fighter who began as a desert bandit before becoming one of Goku's allies. His death at the hands of a Saibaman became one of the most iconic and shocking moments in Dragon Ball Z, cementing both the Saibamen's threat level and Yamcha's unfortunate reputation for misfortune in battle. The figure set stands approximately 150mm tall and is constructed from ABS and PVC. It retailed at 6,000 JPY. The S.H.Figuarts line provides the articulation and accessory options expected by collectors, allowing recreation of the dramatic confrontation between these two characters.
