About this figure

Banpresto's Ichiban Kuji Dragon Ball Z Rebirth Hen line featured this striking Oozaru figure as a limited black color variant. Standing an imposing 350mm tall and constructed from ABS and PVC, this figure represents one of the most iconic transformations in the Dragon Ball franchise. The Oozaru, or Great Ape, is the monstrous transformation that Saiyans undergo when they gaze upon a full moon while possessing a tail. This form multiplies a Saiyan's power tenfold but typically strips them of rational thought, reducing them to a destructive, rampaging beast. The transformation played pivotal roles throughout Dragon Ball Z, from Goku's childhood rampages to Gohan's emergence during the Saiyan Saga against Vegeta. The black color version offers a dramatic, shadowy interpretation of this fearsome form. Originally released in June 2008 as a Double Chance prize in the Ichiban Kuji lottery, this limited edition variant stands alongside a gold color version. At 35cm tall, it commands attention as a centerpiece, capturing the raw scale and primal energy of the Oozaru transformation that has haunted the Saiyan race throughout Dragon Ball's storied history.
