Dororo is a dark fantasy manga and anime series originally created by Osamu Tezuka, following the journey of Hyakkimaru, a young samurai whose body parts were sacrificed to demons at birth by his father. Armed with prosthetic limbs and blades, Hyakkimaru travels across war-torn feudal Japan slaying the demons to reclaim his humanity. Along the way, he is accompanied by Dororo, an orphaned thief who becomes his loyal companion. The story explores themes of humanity, sacrifice, and the moral cost of reclaiming what was lost.
