Dancouga: Super Beast Machine God is a mecha anime series produced by Ashi Productions that aired on TBS for 38 episodes in 1985. The story follows four soldiers—Shinobu Fujiwara, Sara Yuki, Masato Shikibu, and Ryo Shiba—who pilot the mecha Dancouga to liberate Earth from the alien Muge Zorbados Empire. Unlike traditional combining super robots, Dancouga's four Cyber Beast Machines could effectively fight independently, transforming from vehicles into animals—an eagle, cougar, tiger, and mammoth—before combining. The series notably marks the debut of animator Masami Obari. God Bless Dancouga is an 80-minute OVA released on April 15, 1987. The figure captures the imposing design of the combined super robot as it appeared in the OVA continuation of the television series.
