Banpresto's Ichiban Kuji Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova line includes this Kyun-Chara figure of Iona, standing approximately 70mm tall and made from ABS and PVC. The Kyun-Chara series presents characters in a compact, super-deformed style. Iona is the Mental Model and avatar of the submarine I-401, the only known vessel from the mysterious Fleet of Fog to have defected to the human side. In the world of Arpeggio of Blue Steel, set in the mid-21st century, the Fleet of Fog appeared with overwhelming firepower and defensive shields that rendered all conventional human weapons useless, driving humanity entirely from the seas. Iona serves under Gunzou Chihaya, a former student of the Japanese National Maritime Institute of Technology, and together with a small crew they undertake critical missions including transporting a prototype vibration torpedo warhead to the United States. Iona's unique position as a Fog vessel allied with humans makes her central to the series' exploration of identity, loyalty, and the possibility of coexistence.
